|Child Care First Aid|
First Aid & CPR training is mandatory for child care professionals; but, unlike most other types of safety training, these skills and knowledge are also applicable to every individual's daily life. This is why we teach people First Aid & CPR in easy-to-follow steps, empowering them to act on, prevent, and manage life's emergencies.
We offer two types of Canadian Red Cross courses of Child Care First Aid and CPR to help child care facilities be compliant with both federal and provincial/territorial occupational health and safety legislation.Standard Child Care First Aid is 16 hours and is offered to groups of 8 or more. The Emergency Child Care First Aid is 8 hours and is the minimum requirement for day care facilities. The schedule for the Emergency Child Care First Aid is shown below.
Our courses are based on a combination of teaching techniques that include:

What you will learn:
PLEASE NOTE: Some people suffer ill effects as a result of being exposed to specific items such as nuts while others are adversely affected by some fragrances. The effects of these allergies can range anywhere from bothersome to life threatening or anywhere in between. While you are in our school, please refrain from using any perfumes, colognes or aftershave lotions. Their fragrances may be pleasant in the outdoors but not so much in the confined space of a classroom for someone with asthma.
The Child Care First Aid course is $95 and includes the online text.
Retraining is required every three years although an employer may require you to recertify more often. The Child Care First Aid course is recognized by the British Columbia Provincial Child Care Facilities Licensing Board. We offer the Child Care First Aid course monthly. Also be aware that as of October 1, 2017 Red Cross manages your certificate and not the school. A nice feature of this is that should you lose your certificate you can print yours out again.
